Hello everyone and Happy New Year! Well, it’s been quite a year, hasn’t it? I know I haven’t blogged in a while because the holiday season had me very busy working extra hours and now, I’ve recently been stricken with Covid 19. Since I have so much time on my hands while under quarantine, I figure I should reach out and let you know what’s going on with me and the next book on my agenda.
Ringing in the new year with Covid is not a good start is it lol. Yes, I know, believe me, this isn’t how I wanted to spend it. I’ve been very sick with mainly flu-like symptoms and it was kind of rough at first. In all honesty, I was too sick to do any writing, and being forced to stay home after testing positive made me finally get the rest that I haven’t been getting enough of in recent years. My thoughts are clearer and I took a look at my story and didn’t like what I had written so far. Luckily it was still in its beginning stage and now I can work on it and change what I want to change.
I am not worried that I haven’t gotten very far with this new work in progress because I just released a new novel in 2021. Blood Bound is still new on the market but I feel bad that my illness has not allowed me to do much marketing for it. I originally wasn’t going to rush into another novel so soon but I’m only doing it because I miss writing. I hope those who bought Blood Bound are enjoying it.
Being sick has also forced me to eat right and take better care of myself. I now have more desire to be healthy. I have been unable to keep certain foods down so now I have to be extremely careful what I put into my body. Covid has been forcing me to lose a lot of weight and I intend to continue that because I have been overweight for many years. I see a lot of changes coming for 2022. Positive ones. A new novel is on the horizon and I will keep you posted as it develops. I hope the new year will be better for everyone and allow everyone to achieve their goals.
Until next time…
Oh wow. Sorry to hear about you and COVID, but it’s great to see that you’re on the mend. Happy 2022 thus far, and I hope you’re crushing your resolutions, Eshelle!
