Hey everyone, Happy Sunday! Remember that secret project I was working on? Well, it has gone through quite a few changes I must say. But the novel idea that I was working on did not pan out and that is precisely why I did not want to tell anyone about the details of it. Sometimes you get an idea for a story and you don’t realize that it’s not going to work until you work on it. I tried to make it interesting but the subject matter just wasn’t doing anything for me. I couldn’t emotionally connect to it. And I have to feel something for a story and for the characters in order to write it.
For those of you who have been following my blog since I was using Wix.com as my web host, I wrote a novel with my partner Ron back in 2017. It was called Overture of Darkness. We were so excited about finally writing something together but after his Editor gave us a lot of negative feedback on it, we decided not to go forward with trying to get it published. But recently he gave me the go-ahead to rewrite this story on my own using some of the same characters and changing the title, the plot, and a few names. That is the new project that I am currently working on. So far, it’s going okay but it’s still in the beginning stage.

Just like I said before, I’d rather not go into detail about this one just in case things don’t go the way I want it to. I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up. But all I will say is that it is in the paranormal/urban fantasy genres but also can be characterized as a Mystery. My partner does not have the time to work on this with me because he is busy sending out query letters for his solo project Soul Moon Draw which we are both very excited about and can’t wait for all of you to read. Luckily, he trusts my writing ability and believes I can work wonders with this project. I will keep you all posted as it progresses.
By the way, it is no longer titled Overture of Darkness. The title of this novel is now called The Darkness Within. I hope this one works out because I feel like I’ve wasted so much time over the past year. But when we wrote this book together, I fell in love with some of the characters so much that I just couldn’t get them off my mind. If you ever get to read this novel when it is complete, I hope you will feel the same way I do. Have a great week everyone and see you next time…
You are great. You discuss your agenda before delivery. I don’t discuss. I just deliver. And that is terrible.
