Hey there and happy Sunday! I want to apologize for posting this blog entry so late. But I do have a good excuse. My computer crashed just as I was about to post it this afternoon. I know, bad timing; right? I had to go and buy a new computer. I also had to pay a visit to my mother. So, I’ve been busy lol. Well, right now it’s up and running. I just finished setting it up. Now it’s back to business as usual.

We were all hoping that this year would be an improvement from last year but so far, it’s not. How do you enjoy life knowing that it can end abruptly at any time? Well I know that could happen at pretty much any time or day of the week but now we have something extra pushing it along. The Coronavirus just seemed to come from out of nowhere and spread like the common cold with no hope of a vaccine in sight. I don’t know how long this is going to go on, but it seems like it’s settling in for a long stay. I wish that I had some answers to share with you about this virus, but I really don’t know any more than you do. And I’m just as concerned as you are.

All I can tell you is to prepare yourselves for anything because this situation is unpredictable at this point. I’m not going to tell you to wash your hands, stock up on unperishable foods, and hand sanitizer because you’ve already heard this a million times from other articles. Instead, I’m going to tell you that it’s okay to be afraid if you are. You are not alone in how you feel. I’m scared too. It’s okay to worry about your loved ones. So am I. Because they mean the world to us. I’m also going to tell you to try and have faith that we will all come out of this somehow.

Do I believe in God? Yes, I do and for all of those who don’t, that’s okay too. We are all in this thing together and we must continue living our lives as best we can. If we let this thing beat us, we are screwed. Thinking positive in a bad situation is hard, I know, but it’s really all we can do. Life is not a promise, and neither is time so we must live each day like it’s our last day because we never know when it really will be our last day. And when that day comes, you want to go out with no regrets and knowing that you lived your best life. You want your loved ones to know that you loved them and did the best you could by them. You want to be remembered as a warrior on this planet. This messed up flawed planet filled with people that make you wonder…are we worth saving?
My answer to that question is…yes.
I know many of you out there probably sometimes wish you could just die and never have to suffer again. But remember that in the beginning we were not born just to suffer, we were born to live. We always have a choice in how we live but we rarely have a choice in how we die. We must try not to waste the life we were given and do what makes us happy even if it means making a few people unhappy. It’s our lives and we hold all the cards. Let’s face it, there will always be something out there to threaten our lives but how we respond to it will make all the difference in the world.
Until next time…
