Well, now that my new book “The Blood Oath” is finished and published, what’s next for me? I am currently working on another novel titled “The Human” but it is still in the beginning stage right now. It’s a Vampire novel and right now you’re probably thinking “Oh no, not another Vampire novel.” Yes, I know. There are a million of those but I just can’t help myself. I love Vampire stories and they will probably be written until the end of time.
“The Human” is a little bit different than most Vampire novels because it is putting more emphasis on wanting to remain a human as opposed to a blood sucking Vampire. I won’t say too much about it because like I said, it’s still in the beginning stage. I love to mix horror, paranormal, and romance together. It just seems to work so well. I guess in almost any situation you find yourself in, at some point, you are going to fall for somebody.
I am also taking some writing courses by Professor James Haynes (A novelist and a Writing Instructor). My father gave me these books and DVD’s that he paid a lot of money for in order to help me improve my writing abilities. I’m shocked that he’s being so supportive. I know I’m a published Author who has been writing since she was twelve but I welcome anything and everything that will help me to write better stories for you. I love writing so much that sometimes I feel like I might be addicted to it. Because every time I have tried to give it up, I couldn’t. Like a drug it just starts calling me back and I always come running back. I can’t stop no matter how much I may want to sometimes. I guess deep down I don’t want to stop. Ever…
My goals as a Writer are pretty simple. I want to publish a large number of books within the next few years. The first ones will be self-published but then I’d like to try traditional publishing if an agent is willing to work with me. I would like to begin shopping for one for 2017. I’m a little scared to do this. I don’t know why. But I guess it’s mandatory to get published by a traditional publisher. I am hoping to improve my writing so that the next book that I publish will warrant traditional publishers to want to handle my books. I know I’m not ready for this yet but I plan to work very hard in the new year so that I will be ready. And if after I feel that I’m ready and I’m still not able to use traditional publishing…well then I guess I will self-publish until I drop. LOL. Wish me luck. Until next time…
