It's Finished!

Well it’s snowing in Chicago so I’m staying in and for the past few hours I have been preparing my new book “The Blood Oath” for publication. I am so excited and I hope that my readers and new readers enjoy it. It took me three months to complete and I am ready to share it with the rest of the world. I had a hard time trying to decide if I wanted to continue self-publishing or try to find an agent. But I made my decision last night and I am going to self-publish this book. However for my next novel I intend to get an agent and shop around for traditional publishers. I feel that I will be ready by that time. I am still growing as an Author and not yet confident enough in my abilities to show my work to an agent yet. But soon… Right now as I am writing this blog entry, my book “The Blood Oath” is being reviewed by my publisher and I should have this ready for purchase by tomorrow or Tuesday. I will keep you posted.

This book is very different from my last novel “A Woman Of Courage” because although it has a little romance in it, it is not a romance novel. It is a paranormal story for young adults. I have given up writing romance novels because my heart is no longer in it. But there will always be somebody in love in my novels just because that’s something that I really connect with and can relate to as I’m sure a lot of other people can as well.

I am curious if all of you out there who self-publish ever see your novels actually on bookstore shelves because so far, I do not and that really disappoints me. Something really ought to be done about changing this because I feel that self-published books are just as important as traditionally published books. But that’s just my opinion. I will be releasing a new book trailer on you tube in order to help promote my book so be on the lookout for that. The new book trailer and the book’s cover were all created by me so I hope you like them. If you buy the book, please be sure and give an honest review. Your critiques are helpful the good ones and the bad ones. Thanks so much to all who have been supporting me. I appreciate it more than you will ever know. Until next time…
