How To Find Time To Write

Unless you really love writing, your always going to find an excuse not to. Let’s face it, life gets in the way every time and it’s impossible to try and juggle your job, your family, your friends and whatever else you have going on unless…you prioritize and really commit to it. I don’t use a Planner even though I probably should. I just multitask and sometimes I feel like I’m running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off. Right now I’m dealing with aging parents whom need help more than ever, even doing simple things like making dinner. It can be very overwhelming when your used to your parents being able to do for themselves all the time. But I have to be there for them, just like they have always been there for me. And it’s not just out of obligation, it’s because I love them. Even if I can only write for about an hour, I have to at least try. I get writers block so often that it drives me crazy. I love to write and I feel like if I don’t write, I’m not being myself. I don’t want to write anymore like when I was a kid, now…I have to write or I literally start getting irritable and my imagination goes out of control. I start daydreaming more often than usual and I feel this emptiness inside that I cant even begin to describe. Just like I love writing, I also love books but I don’t have enough time to read as much as I’d like. If I could have five wishes, 1. To meet Jesus, 2. To live forever, 3. World Peace, 4. To always have my family, and 5. To have more time to do the things that I enjoy most. If I could have these five wishes come true, than life would be perfect. Finding true love is a given and I didn’t put that on the list on purpose because I’ve already found it, a few times and i enjoyed it every time until it ended. All thing must come to an end, like life, like peace, like family and like time. All I can do is keep moving forward every day, even though it seems like the world is falling apart around me. All us writers can do is just keep creating our own perfect or imperfect worlds, but let’s be real for a minute…if those worlds were perfect…would they really be any fun to explore? Until next time…
